Austin · The food crawl
Brisket. Beer.
Everybody on board.
Build a BBQ-and-beer afternoon around Connected Austin’s private Sprinter food crawl: a custom route, everyone together and room to enjoy the stops.
Get into the plan
The short answer
Someone suggests walking to the next place. It looks close on the map. It is also Texas, and he has already said “it’s a dry heat” twice. A private Sprinter solves the part of an Austin food crawl that gets old fastest: moving the whole group between the places you actually came to enjoy.
The ride
Private Sprinter.
Your group together, with air conditioning between stops.
The route
Built around your crew.
Make BBQ and beer the theme; confirm the actual stops.
The starting format
Three-hour crawl.
The current food-crawl service is listed for up to 14 people.
The idea
Let lunch become the plan.
The BBQ-and-beer version starts with Connected Austin’s private Sprinter bar and food crawl. It is a custom route through Austin’s food and drink spots, with the group moving together between stops. Choose BBQ as the food anchor and build the rest around the places your crew will enjoy.
The current service is a three-hour outing for up to 14 people. That is the starting format, not an invitation to fit six stops into it. If the meal or route needs longer, we work through the schedule and quote before booking.
This is a custom city crawl rather than a fixed list of breweries or a guaranteed tour of named smokehouses. Bring the idea; we will confirm a route that makes sense for the date and the group.
Stop 01 · The food anchor
Start with the brisket decision.

Choose the meal first. Tell us what matters: a proper BBQ spread, a particular place you have been talking about, or a relaxed stop where everyone can sit and eat together. Include dietary requirements before the route takes shape.
For a group, how you get the food matters almost as much as where. Joining a regular line, preordering and arranging group seating are different plans. We check what is possible before promising a specific lunchtime or a table for everyone.
Do not choose a route purely by the number of famous names on it. You want time to enjoy the plate in front of you. Brisket is a poor activity to rush through while the organizer keeps pointing at his watch.
The next stop
A cold drink. A place to stay a while.
After the food, choose the kind of beer stop the group actually wants. A patio and time to talk may be a better fit than a formal tasting. If a brewery visit or tasting is the point, tell us so we can check the arrangements specifically.
The underlying food crawl can take in bars, patios and food trucks. That flexibility is useful for a mixed group: the friends who are more interested in lunch than beer should still have a good afternoon.
Agree on what is included in the booking and what people will order and pay for at the stops. The service description mentions drinks aboard the vehicle; the exact provision and onboard rules belong in your confirmed booking. It does not establish that restaurant meals or brewery tastings are included.
Between stops
The van is doing important work.

Everyone leaves together and arrives together. The air conditioning gets a turn. Nobody is trying to solve three rideshares while the fourth friend has already started walking.
We arrange the route and pickup around your group. Confirm the starting address, finish point, booked hours and what happens if you want to extend. Keep those decisions outside the part of the day when everyone has a strong opinion and half a battery.
For groups larger than the listed 14-person capacity, ask us about a suitable vehicle and quote. A photo of a bus does not make a Sprinter hold more people.
The rest of the trip
A very good way to meet Austin.
A food crawl can work well early in the weekend: the group gets out together, sees a few places and has a shared afternoon before the bigger boat or football day. Match the start to actual arrivals rather than hoping everybody’s plane behaves.
After a substantial BBQ meal, leave room before dinner. Comedy, live music or a later night out may fit better than another full meal immediately after the return.
If you would rather stay at the house, we can arrange BBQ catering instead. That is a separate experience with its own pace—particularly good alongside the sauna, cold plunge and chair massages.
