The Austin itinerary

Three days.
Give them a story.

An Austin bachelor party itinerary with a football combine, Lake Travis boat day, group dinners and enough breathing room to enjoy all of it.

Get into the plan
The Connected Austin football combine group outside the Southwestern University football facility
An actual Connected Austin combine. Your itinerary can start with a day like this.

The short answer

Give each day one thing everyone is excited about. A football combine. A lake day. A dinner where the whole group actually sits together. Then build around those moments. This is a suggested Thursday-to-Saturday plan, with Sunday for getting home—not a minute-by-minute claim about one past trip.

Thursday

Land. Settle in. Go out.

Group arrivals, a house base and a first dinner.

Friday

Settle it on the field.

Football combine, an afternoon at the house and comedy.

Saturday

Take it to the lake.

Lake Travis, a proper reset and the final night.

Day 01 · Arrivals

Keep the first day easy to join.

An Austin group together in their booked vehicle
One pickup. Everyone together. A surprisingly important part of the plan.

Your earliest flight lands at lunch. Someone else found a better fare arriving at six. Start with everyone’s actual arrival times, then arrange a shared transfer where it makes sense. A private vehicle still needs a sensible pickup window.

Get settled at the house and make food the first anchor. Stock the basics ahead of time: water, breakfast supplies, snacks and the things people will otherwise spend an hour buying. Confirm check-in and luggage arrangements before treating the house as an afternoon meeting point.

For the evening, choose a group dinner you can reach comfortably from your stay. Share dietary requirements and confirm seating together, payment and cancellation terms. Add a night out after dinner; leave the ambitious cross-city bar tour for someone else’s spreadsheet.

Day 02 · The main event

The scouting report is finally happening.

The real combine · 34 seconds · Sound on

Breakfast first. Then the football combine: weight-room work, field drills and the mock draft that gives everybody something to discuss for the rest of the weekend. Our published event film shows what this looks like with a real Connected Austin group.

Book the confirmed event window and round-trip transport together. Facility, coaching, tests and filming should be spelled out for your booking. This is a combine-style group experience; it is not an NFL affiliation or a promise of the exact same staff and venue every time.

Back at the house, leave room for lunch and downtime. BBQ catering, a mobile sauna and cold plunge, or chair massages can make that afternoon its own event when the property and suppliers can accommodate them. Let the operators guide participation; schedule drinks separately from heat and cold sessions.

Comedy works well as the evening anchor if the group wants a seated show before going out. Get tickets for one show together and check arrival requirements. Nobody wants to explain to the groom why his seat is at tomorrow’s performance.

Day 03 · Lake Travis

Give the boat the afternoon.

Five friends together aboard an Austin party boat
A lake day deserves a proper place in the weekend.

Choose the boat charter before fitting in the rest of Saturday. Confirm the marina, passenger limit, captain, boarding time, charter length, food and drink rules, and weather policy. Lake Travis is a separate outing from downtown Austin; the drive belongs in the itinerary.

Plan breakfast before leaving. Keep everyone’s essentials together and arrive ready to board. A boat with a slide or a particular cove stop is something to confirm, not something every charter automatically includes.

Leave space after the return for showers, food and the inevitable missing shirt. Then choose one nightlife area for the final night. A good sendoff does not need to cover every neighborhood.

Plan the Lake Travis part of your trip

The booking order

Lock the anchors. Leave some air.

Start with dates and head count, then the stay, the combine or boat, and the transport connecting them. Put dinner and show reservations around those commitments. Check Austin’s event calendar before the group buys flights.

This plan uses three activity days and assumes you can stay Saturday night. If the group is leaving Saturday, shorten the plan instead of wedging a boat charter between checkout and the airport. For a Friday arrival, choose either the combine or the lake as the big Saturday event.

Before you book

The useful questions.

Can we do the combine and Lake Travis on the same day?

A tailored schedule may allow it, but our starting recommendation is separate days. Transfers, the activity windows and getting ready afterward take real time. Confirm the actual bookings before combining them.

Does this itinerary have a fixed price?

No. The stay, dates, group size and chosen services determine the quote. Ask for the complete cost and inclusions before splitting it among the group.

Is the football combine connected to the NFL?

It is a private combine-style group experience. The article does not imply NFL affiliation.
