AUSTIN BACHELOR PARTY ITINERARY: 2-DAY WEEKEND

By Connected Austin · January 29, 2026 · 03 MIN read

Book reservations at least a week ahead for groups.

Quick Summary

  • Only have 2 days for your Austin bachelor party? Here's the perfect itinerary to maximize your time with the best activities, food, and nightlife.
  • Book reservations at least a week ahead for groups.

9:30 PM - Late: Rainey Street

Friday night = Rainey Street. Start at Bangers if you ate elsewhere, then work your way down the street. Hit 3-4 bars, end wherever feels right.

Realistic expectation: You’re not closing down the city on night one. 1-2 AM is a solid stopping point. Save energy for Saturday.

Saturday: The Main Event

This is your big day. Two main options depending on what your crew wants:

Option A: Lake Day Focus

9-10 AM: Wake up, breakfast tacos, coffee. Torchy’s or Veracruz for pickup tacos.

11 AM - 5 PM: Lake Travis boat rental. This is the centerpiece. Pack coolers with beer, water, snacks. Sunscreen is mandatory.

5-7 PM: Back to the house. Showers, recovery time, maybe a pool dip if your house has one.

7:30-9 PM: Dinner. Go big tonight — this is the main dinner. Steakhouse if you didn’t do it Friday, or BBQ if you’re saving that for Sunday.

9:30 PM - Late: 6th Street or Rainey (whichever you didn’t do Friday). This is the big night out.

Option B: Activity-Focused Day

10 AM: Breakfast tacos, coffee

11 AM - 1 PM: Gun range or go-karts. Get the adrenaline going.

1:30 - 3 PM: BBQ lunch. Franklin (if you’re committed to the line), Terry Black’s, or la Barbecue.

3:30 - 6 PM: Pool time at the house, or hit Barton Springs for the classic Austin experience.

7 PM: Pre-game at the house

8:30-10 PM: Dinner (steakhouse or upscale casual)

10:30 PM - Late: Rainey Street or 6th Street for the main night out

Sunday: Recovery and Departure

10-11 AM: Late Start

Sleep in. You earned it. Hydrate aggressively.

11 AM - 1 PM: Brunch

Pick a solid brunch spot:

1-3 PM: Chill Activity or Free Time

Depending on flight times:

3-4 PM: Head to Airport

Give yourself buffer time. Austin traffic near the airport can be unpredictable.

Budget Breakdown (Per Person)

Rough estimates for a 2-day trip:

Total: $575-925 per person (not including flights)

What to Skip

With limited time, you can’t do everything. Skip:

The Bottom Line

A 2-day Austin bachelor party works great if you focus on the essentials: one big activity (lake or guns), great food, and one solid night out. Don’t try to cram in too much — you’ll enjoy it more if you keep it simple.
